Proteo Red Paint

Finally got a nearly new alfa 156 in proteo red a week ago. I know the new model is coming out but don't like the new look and couldn't refuse the deal.

Anyway one evening was so gutted to find the wing mirror had been knocked off by some idiot, and have just discovered some fairly deep scratches on the side at the front and back.

Does anyone know where I can get the correctly coded paint (spray/pen) for some touch-up?

Been to Halfords but the store didn't have any alfa proteo red, fiat has a lot of similar reds but no proteo.

Thanks for helping.

Halfords don't seem to have any ready-mixed Alfa Romeo colours, whichever branch you go to. I don't know why. I had to go to my local Alfa dealer for an Alfa Red touch-up paint (couple of quid) - you'll probably have to do the same.

Halfords have a colour matching service in some stores now where they will make up any colour in touch up bottles and sprays. They even so a really fine needle nose thing for stone chips.
Maybe try a bigger Halfords store with a parts desk.

Well, I finally got a quote from Alfa to fix my reversing dent and respray the area.

£304.33 inc. So it's a cash job then as my excess is £250 on the insurance and not worth messing with.

Proteo red is the classiest colour, with or without wing mirrors

Have you thought about getting a Chips away guy to fix it? It would probably cost you £50 but you`ll end up with a better result than if you try it yourself.Especially if your cackhanded like me! wink Chips away home page

Was that a sequel to 'Goodbye Mr Chips'? Not the crappy remake with that jughead in it, but the original classic with Robert Donut? wink
