I had the fan belt and all tensioners/rollers replaced at end of Aug 08' at local independant Alfa garage. They told me that the automatic tensioner had gone, but it was advisable to change all parts of it. Taking their advice i went ahead with it. It cost me £360.
2 days ago, the same whining sound started and i took it back to the same garage. They had a look and said that tensioners "1,3 and 4" were gone and needed replaced (7 months, 12K miles later)
1. Is this normal?
2. Where do i stand with warranty? Given that only one tensioner was actually needing replaced the first time?
3. Is it the garage or the parts supplier that would be responsible, or do i just take it on the chin and pay up myself?
It's an 02' 156 2.4 jtd. I appreciate things break, but its hard to take after 7 months when it wasn't broken in the first place.
Any answers or sympathy would be great.
