Re: 156 airbag light does not go off
It will be either the connector under the seat or the airbag ecu is knackered. Both very commen problems. The ecu is under the gear stick. A little metal box with yellow cables coming out of it. If it is your ecu. Expect to pay £200 for it new. Or £50 from ebay or free from your local breaker. If you have sticky fingers. Just make sure you remove yours to get the correct codes of it. As there are a few different types. As the early cars did not have side airbags etc. Its a very simple job to do yourself. P.s as stated already it is not an mot failure. But it is worth doing if your missus drives your car it could save her. Unless you dont like her of course.
