Hi folks. As you'll see I'm new to posting here but have enjoyed browsing around the useful info and smiling at the humour for some time.
I thought I would step in here because I've just had 'Motor management failure - go to dealer' come up on my 156 JTS at 4,200m. Just rung my local dealer who claims they have never heard of it before but if I want to bring it in sometime they'll have a look! The guy who answered in the service dept seemed as if he didn't have clue and more than once in the conversation I actually thought he gone to sleep! It gives me no confidence but I'm taking it in tomorrow and I'll let you know how I get on. At least the comments posted here and elsewhere on the board give me a head start!

Well, it did get better. Took the car to Autoworld Sheffield yesterday, was well received and they rang after 3 hours to say they had tightened the Lambda sensor so we'll see how long it holds. At least the dealer responded better than the initial reception led me to expect so we'll see how it goes. Bit worrying to read how often some of you have had to go back to have the same problem fixed though.
