Stuck in the middle of no-where!
Hi, need a little help if there is anyone online please.
I have an Alfa 156 2.0 X Reg.
About an hour ago, I enabled the alarm, it beep as usual and I walked away leaving my car alarmed.
I returned and the door nobs where in the up position as if I had pressed the button on the keyfob and disarmed the alarm.
So I tried to open one of the doors, because I thought I had unlocked the car, being that the door nobs where in the up position.
The alarm went off and I pressed the key fob and the alarm turned off as normal.
I then got in the car, tried to start it and it won't start.
So I got out, closed the door and pressed the key fob again and it just flashes costantly on the key fob light. So I tried my other key and same thing. The car will not operate the central locking when I press the keyfob button nor will it enable the alarm.
So I left the car for another 20 mins or so and tried the keyfob again and it did not do anything with the car apart from flash the led on the keyfob constantly.
So I tried to lock the car the old fashioned way and it just locks the door you put the key in and not the central locking.
So now the car won't start, won't alarm and won't lock.
I need some help please anyone!!?!?!? Thanks for any ideas.
UPDATE: Ok, so I've made a few phone calls, and someone suggested disconnecting the central locking 20A fuse. I've done this and no luck. They also suggested, locking all doors from the inside, then locking the passenger door from the outside and pressing the keyfob and this did not work either.
ANOTHER UPDATE: I've spoken to someone else and they suggested removing the battery as this would almost certainly fix the problem, is this a good idea as I'm not so sure, can anyone advise?
