Turbo Flutter, but why?
If I change gear at high rpm, or slow down after going with high rpm I get the chopping sound from the turbo.
No engine warning lights on and car pulls well.
New original Bosch MAF, new VTN solenoid (modern version with round air vent) is fitted.
Some say, the later more modern VNT is slower to react?
EGR is blanket off.
Pass the MOT emission test with flying colours yesterday.
Sometimes, the Flutter is so bad that the Turbo (not the engine) stalls completely if you hammer the car from red light to red light in low gears.
If I disconnect the vacuum to the turbo, all is fine no noise on overrun.
I wonder if I lose vacuum somewhere and that closes the inlet manifold throttle body.
Like I said, if I plug the vacuum all seams well.
Must say, since I fitted the new MAF the power “On” “Off” effect from the Angel map becomes a real nonsense.
It is almost impossible to take off without spinning the wheels or slipping the clutch.
