I drove my car this morning on a couple of short trips, 4 miles there and back, no problems running sweet as a nut.
About 2 hours later I got in to go to work, turned the key, all the warning lights came on as normal, glow plug light was about to go off, I think there was a click and everything died, as if it was complete shutdown! Turned the key off. And thought
. Turned the key and nothing. Counted to ten, told the car I loved her, turned the key and warning lights came on, turned it fully straight away and she kicked into life no problem. Drove to work (about 18 miles) without radio, heater etc on, car felt fine. When I finished work she started no problems, car felt fine.
My radio also reset to default i.e 87.5 Fm frequency and the trip reset itself to 0.
The odometer didn't though.
This is the first time I've had this happen. It has been suggested that it may be my battery (dead cell), by somebody who has experienced a similar problem. I will get this checked out as it's free! Has anybody else got any thoughts?
