147 ignition switch querie

Hey gurus,

Took my new 147 ts lusso to the garage i bought it from...
problems were inconsistency at turning over when starting,
also kept just dying when in first gear or reverse! was just powering down. Now the garage say they have ran diagnostics and that the ignition switch was faulty.... would this be causing it to die when in 1st or reverse? does it sound right??

Thanks in advance

Re: 147 ignition switch querie

Sounds more like a poor battery connection or earth to me. This will also cause a not fully charged battery that may play havoc with the ECU causing too low idling speed when powering down.
