Re: Does a cambelt change involve removal of the aux belt?
Hi - cheers for the replies. I'm not planning on replacing the cambelt again (it was only done 2 months ago) although, I've read that the aux belt could possibly damage the cambelt when it goes - so will be sure to have it checked! It must have happened suddenly, as if it was a slowly developing problem the garage would have picked up on it when they removed it to do the cambelt.
I guess while the job needs doing it makes sense to have the whole shebang done on the aux belt (belt and all tensioners... £190 just for the kit... ouch). Ah well, when it's done it's done I suppose. She's got coming up to 90k on the clock, so I may as well treat the old girl!
