Re: Converting Selespeed engine to manual?
Thanks for all your knowledge everyone. I know very, very little about cars, but will go ahead and buy the Selespeed engine and ask the local garage to do the conversion I guess.
When I say the engine's knackered, I assume that's what has happened - I was driving home (giving it some push up a hill, but nothing drastic) and suddenly the car lost most of it's drive and the accelerator pedal makes this horrible sound now. I managed to keep it going for a couple of miles, but then the oil light comes on (despite having oil in it) and I had to pull it over. My brother looked in the engine with a torch and said there were bits of loose metal in there.
I went back to get it in the morning. It started up ok so I continued on for another couple of miles, but then the oil light came on, steering stiffened up and I had to pull it over.
Surely this is the engine, right?
