Following on from 147 out of action..
Today, I have my car back from Brian Foley Alfa in Sydney. Highly recommanded if you are in sydney to use them.
After a day, they found what was wrong with it.. a pin in the computer/ABS unit is actaully shorted out and not connecting the power to it. Replaced the necessary part and the car so far is fine, tho I had to wait til today to get it... DUE to Alfa has taken forever to get the part to him.
I concluded that, Trivett Classic Alfa has not dont anything in the first 5 days of diagnositic as they were telling me, they are testing the selespeed system, downloaded the new software etc to it..but as far asI know, the computer was not even responsing to any checks and diagnostics as the pin was shorted out and there was no way they could have got anything from the computer (errors readout etc) and download the new software to it etc.
The guys at B.Foley said, once the new part was in...the computer just spits out all the errors it had b4, (speedo error, selespeed error, heater error etc).
Trivett, altho in my local area @ work,I will not go near them again...and Brian Foley gets my vote for great services and ALFA "KNOW-HOW". Now I just hope the car stays the way it is..

Gazza,
