My shaft is worn

I wish. Its actually the alternator shaft of my 147. Took it in to the dealers to have an annoying hum ckecked out. They initially diagnosed a faulty power steering pump and replaced it, but found that the hum was still there. They then dismantled the alternator thinking it was a bearing but it turns out the shaft is worn, in six months and 23,000k's. Again parts have to be sent from the other side of the continent air freight, overnight. 4 days and 3 nights in a KIA loaner. They promised that if they have to keep my 147 over the weekend that they'll swap me into a 147 loaner.
