Cambelt Change- Finding TDC
I have the belts, tensioners and locking blocks on order for a cambelt change on my 156 1.8 ts.
One thing I don't yet have is a dial gauge. There seem to be lots of different types and none seem suited to the Alfa. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
I am also wondering about other techniques, for example there is a hole in the bellhousing with 0 and 15 markings on it. Is there a TDC mark on the flywheel? and would that be much more accurate than the gauge? I've had a quick look but can't see it yet.
