Re: Wiper Blades
After a couple of weeks use I'm finding the Bosch Aerotwins a poor second to the Valeos I had fitted previously. In terms of actual performance there's very little in it, both brands clear the screen quietly without any judder at all speeds.
The Bosch and Valeo passenger side wipers both fail to sit on the screen fully at the far end because it's so curved, but this only leaves a very small streaked/unwiped area where the blades don't quite touch.
The Bosch drivers side wiper is slightly poorer at clearing the bottom right corner of the screen, but this is barely noticeable.
The one thing that has disappointed me is the noise my wipers are now making!! The Valeos were ultra quiet during over a year of use, however the Aerotwins seem to have made my wipers very noisy on the downward strokes. I'm not talking about screeching from the wiper blades themselves, but more of a mechanical noise! Possibly from the wiper arms?! I'm not sure if it's anything to do with the weight of the blades, has anyone else experienced this when changing from Valeos to Aerotwins?
I think the Aerotwins look much better on the car, but I'm afraid that unless I can cure the noise I'll be buying Valeo again next time! I'd rather use marker pen on the yellow warning indicators and have totally quiet wipers!
