I think the good/bad local dealer thing is a great idea, particularly for servicing. Be good to hear some recommendations of independants too. So, I am happy to start the UK contingent:
1) Westover Fiat/Alfa Bournemouth - wonderful customer service. They accepted, and fixed my car within three days after arriving on an RAC truck. They broke the cruise control whilst it was there, but subsequently fixed it again with minimal disruption to me. 8/10.
2) Fish Bothers Fiat/Alfa Swindon. My car has always been serviced there, and will have the 60k done there in a couple of weeks. Expensive (all main dealers are) at £61 + VAT per hour, but they have gone above and beyond the call of duty for me. Highly recommended, 9.5/10.
3) PowerAlfa - Jon replaced the rear suspension units for me. Lovely people there, very knowledgable. Not much cheaper than the main dealer for servicing, but recommended if they are semi-local to you.
I would love to hear some other recommendations from people, particularly independants. I would like to get the 72k service/belts done outside the main dealer network - the service costs more than the car is worth.
