How do I get sticky crap off my bodywork??
Last week had some work done on the front end of my 156, a 'present' left by the previous owner meant the bumper was out of line, quite a lot worse than I first thought. At the same time I asked them if they could stick my side skirts back on as they were coming away in a few places.
Now I don't know what the hell they've used to stick the skirts back on, but they've kindly left this black sticky residue on the bottom of my doors. When I quizzed them about this they claimed it was already like that. Hmmmmm....anyway I have tried scrubbing with good old soap and water to no avail. Is it safe to use Meths or something like that to get rid of it, or will this mark the paintwork?
I'm slightly peeved as I told them I wanted it doing fairly cheaply, but they've done a pretty sh*te job of it to be honest. If they'd just rung me and said it would be a bit more expensive but would be done right then I'd have been fine with that, but they just carried on regardless and now it just looks a bit of a bodge job. Anyone who's coming to the South Yorkshire meet at Ital Autos next Saturday will get to see it!
