147 Geometry alignment - values
I went for a geometry alignment this morning (cost 30euro, but I m not sure if the guy fixed everything right. I recently changed strut bar (replacement on warranty) and wheels from 185/65/15 to 215/45/17. I noticed that the steering felt inaccurate in high speeds, and a pull to the right. I cant be sure if this was after the strut bar or the wheels, or both. I noticed on a trip at speeds above 140km/h.
Here are the values Before and After the geometry alignment:
TOTAL FRONT TOE:
before: -5.0mm AFTER: -1.4mm (min:-3.4mm, typical: -2.3mm, max: -1.1mm)
before: -2.3mm AFTER: -0.5 (min:-1.7mm, typical: -1.1mm, max: -0.5mm)
before: -2.6mm AFTER: -0.9mm (min:-1.7mm, typical: -1.1mm, max: -0.5mm)
before: -01º20' AFTER: -01º20' (min: -01º10', typical: -00º50', max:-00º30')
before: -00º15' AFTER: -00º20' (min: -01º10', typical: -00º50', max:-00º30')
before: +02º45' AFTER: +02º40' (min: +03º25', typical: 03º55', max: 04º25')
before: +03º55' AFTER: +03º50 (min: +03º25', typical: 03º55', max: 04º25')
LEFT KINGPIN PITCH: before: +5º20, after: +5º20
RIGHT KINGPIN PITCH: before: +6º10, after: +6º10 (what are these and why they are different??)
Dis-alingment: before: +00º00' AFTER: -00º05' (wtf is that)
Wheel distance difference: before: -00º15 after: -00º15
before: +2.6mm after: +3.5mm (min:+2.3mm, typical:+3.4mm, max:+4.5mm)

before: -01º50' after: -01º50' (min:-01º15, typical:-00º55', max:-00º35')
before: -01º05' after: -01º05' (min:-01º15, typical:-00º55', max:-00º35')
PUSH ANGLE: before: +00º00' after: +00º00'
DIS-ALIGNMENT: before: +00º00' after: +00º05'
He said that the Camber angles are not adjustable on this car, so the only way to correct them is to
fit lowering springs, and he asked 265€ for eibachs. Is this true? Camber cannot be aligned??? So
wtf they have different values from left to right?? I didnt believe him, for one more reason, he told
me that Bilsteins and Konis are crap, and the only good solution is to give my shocks to him to
improve them (changing valves and oil). I refused.
I m afraid he fecked the front toe angle on what.. Is camber adjustable? And does it change by wheel replacement?? especially if the new wheel dimensions are factory recommended? And wtf they have different right from left values?
