Re: Drogheda Selespeed Actuator fitting
I have now similar fault codes P1741 & P1742 with my selespeed (´00 156). Gears won't engage and display stays on "N". Though, I hear that gear selector does something after pushing the gear lever. Both to first gear direction and reverse. Still the car won't move...
Ok, what has happened so far. Clutch cylinder leaked oil, and caused some serios jerking when engine is warm. Or at least I assumed so.
I have a spare parts actuator, and I decided to switch the piston from it to see if it helps. No problem taking the piston out when actuator attached to the gear box. New piston in, and with AlfaDiag I did the piston rod length adjustment. 28mm and everything seemed ok. When I did the self learn with AD it stopped and those two codes appeared.
So I did NOT toucht the gear side of the actuator. If I disconnect the connectors from the gear position sensors on the actuator there is a beep and error light on the display. I just don't get it, what has happened...
Maybe air on gear side pistons? Wiring harness problems? I checked the connectors on the actuator, but all where on their correct locations and properly in.
