Read the review before on Wisrutes site and it confirms what I suspected.
So the AR sport pack dampers are the Bilstein 'Sprint', ie, bottom of the range. No wonder they are not great. There is another above that called the 'Sport' (I think) and then it is the adjustable stuff. I have a price for the adjustable Bilsteins (it is on Autodeltas website) and have read very good reviews. What I like is the fact that the suspension height and stiffness can be fine tuned to suit your own particular requirements.
By the sounds of it, this Bilstein adjustable kit is the way to go: Good reviews, plenty of tests and a quality brand. I will have to declare it on the insurance where as with the AR 'sports suspension' I wouldn't have bothered.
So the plan is now 3 phase:
1 Bilstein adjustable suspension.
2 Uprated brake pads, but not discs (yet £££)
3 Remap of 35-45bhp.
4 Might be a daft question, but a JTD's air filter can be upgraded to, can't it? Might even junk the standard exhaust in favour of a custom made.
The aim is for my SW to look standard, ie, no bodykit, to handle well and with approx 200bhp of turbo diesel - go like jet fighter on afterburner
