Help Electrics fault

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum.
This afternoon I was trying to fit an aftermarket cd player and accidentally there was a spark between two cables. After that point the original stereo does not come on but that is the least as the electric windows, heating fan dials, rear window heater and boot remote lock-unlock don't work either!!! The odometer on the dashboard blinks and when locking and unlocking the car (which actually works!) there is no bleeping sound.
Any idea what to look for?
Many thanks

Re: Electrics fault

hi you have more than likely blown a fuse for the electrical equipment not to work.
i beliieve that a flashing odometer is a communication fail between electrics which may be caused by a blown fuse.
so the first place i would chech is the fuse box. (underneath the steering column)

Re: Electrics fault

there is a panel to the RIGHT of the steering wheel.

there are TWO fuse boards in there, one with 18 fuses on the bottom & another with 10 fuses ABOVE the main board.... very awkard to get to.

on the cover that can be removed it will ahve a sticker on it descibing the 18 fuses BUT not the upper 10.

refert o the car op manual for that.

Re: Electrics fault

Many thanks. It was a fuse but I think the manual is printed for a right hand drive so had to turn page upside down locate the right fuse.
it is now sorted anyway.
