156 Temperature Hunts Around
I replaced the thermostat on the 156 at the weekend.
I bled the system at the radiator afterwards.
Anyway the temperature is behaving weirdly.
It comes up quite fast to an indicated 90, then drops back to 70, then comes up quite quickly, and back down even faster.
After a while it is only fluctuating between 75 and 85 about once every 30 seconds but it must be confusing the engine management. The block can't be changing temp that fast and the fuel economy seems worse than when it was running cold all the time.
Any ideas? I was thinking it might be a jerky opening/ closing action or perhaps some air in the system?
