You are not alone! I also purchased via the internet without seeing the car beforehand or indeed the Top Gear broadcast. I expect we are talking about the same car supermarket in Cannock, Staffs. I've noticed that the stock has almost gone since TG. I am now the owner of a silver 166 TS Turismo with black Momo and memory seats, collected a few weeks ago.
Nearly £10K off list and this is a UK car, ex Fiat UK, with a 3 year warranty / AA cover - car was registered new two weeks prior to collection. No regrets, a great deal and a lovely car. Just have to wait and see how depreciation pans out.
My advice on collection is to thoroughly check the bodywork (the cars have been stored some time I believe and are vulnerable due to lack of rubbing strips) and check the petrol guage -I ran out before I could reach the nearest pump.
