Alfa poorly, two weeks in a diesel Skoda.

My 156 was starting to knock a bit from the front so I thought a bush was on its way out. I went over a road hump yesterday and heard a loud clunk, looks like the bush has gone completly. I have already had the rear stub axle bushes replaced under warranty.

I have been ringing round my local dealers and the earliest I can get it sorted is the 16th of June.

I'm not going to drive it as it handles crap and bumps and bangs.

So instead of my 156....

I'm driving ny wifes Skoda Felicia 1.9D GLi

It will be six years old this August and its been back to the dealers once for a sheared exhaust bracket. The dealer didn't want to weld the bracket so he put a new exhaust on free of charge. I only had to wait 1 day.
I wish Alfa service would take a look at Skoda service.

Count yourself lucky that your missus doesn't drive a Daewoo Lanos or a Perodua Nippa or (and I can barely say the evil words) Hyundai Atoz.

But I bet VW are worried about the slide in US sales of both VW and Audi - much worse than the industry average of 4%. If I recall correctly VW are down 14% and Audi down 9% over this last year.
