is this a wheel bearing gone

the other day while going round a left hander i hit a nice bit of ice and my car went straight on and i hit the kirb. not only has this scuffed the wheel but now when i turn left or take a left handed bend there is a grinding noise coming from the wheel. it also get louder the faster im going. but doesnt make a noise when going straight or right.

its drivers side front wheel

i think its the wheel bearing but not 100% does anyone think im right or could it be something else

edit i was going about 15 mph when i hit the kurb and it did feel like quite a bump when it happened

Re: is this a wheel bearing gone

Take it in for a brake appraisal and ask while there-they will probably not charge and it may be as simple as a damaged backing plate-
Needs checked for the safety thing and wheel alignment .

Could be something as simple as the arch liner popped loose. The 147 did that once, just needed clipping back into place.
