Sorry its too late for a photo, all back together now and running sweetly (for a diesel)! I never used any special tools, just used the marks on the new belt, which cross checked against the marks I made on the old one prior to removal. From memory, there was a wee white dot on the crank pulley around 8 O'clock position, and this lined up with the 2nd line. The biggest headache with this job, together with the auxiliary belt shinanegins is poor access with the extra cylinder stuck on the end!

Your head must be spinning after reading all the contradictory stuff written so far!!!

You dont need cam locks. You havn't got to worry about pump timing. But I wouldn't want to attempt this job without the crank locking tool.
Also I've just counted the teeth on an old belt of mine and I'm not getting 69 1/2 teeth!!!

If I were you I'd buy the locking tool and a new belt.
