Hmmm Air in Circuit - Effecting Clutch & Braking?

I have a 2.4 jtd (78k) and have fairly recently been experiencing some minor niggles with the clutch pedal. I have recently had the slave and master cylinder replaced and at that time was told the clutch was in perfect condition (only 1k ago).

Anyway, recently it has started feeling a bit notchy sometimes or crunchy. It doesn't always do it. When they replaced slave and master they did have problems bleeding the system and I am hoping that maybe air is in the system and this would lead to the syptoms described????

The brake pedal can also be depressed a great deal when pushed hard - maybe related???

Help and advice appreciated!
