Re: Selespeed Actuator on the way
LOL, you forgot to menion that this venture actually got me the use of a transporter on tap and a little buisness and free parts from a local garage, which had taken on work above thier abilities, fortunately I had the Laptop with me as I was testing the sele unit, the garage owner was impressed and asked if I could check out some other cars as they had no diag software compatible, so 2 puntos, a 156 and a HF delta later (both puntos were ABS sensors, the 156 is a B1 S1 Lambda and the HF is mental again (2 spark plugs failed), I left with a brand new cylinder head (fully built with valves, cams and sensor and sealed in the original Alfa bag) tucked under my arm as well as the actuator which was removed in 10 minutes to the shock of the head mechanic who had spent the previous day trying to get one off another 156 and my phone number placed above the local indys in thier little black book.
All in all a good day was had by just going 4 miles down the road to a workshop/garage I never knew existed.
And Pat, I didn't tell you that they initially wanted £300 for the actuator, thanks to my bartering practice in Bahrain you got an exceptional bargain with the weak pound and all.
