Re: Selespeed Actuators, rebuild?
It is rebuildable, I've done a few, but the trouble is that most acuators fail for hairline cracks inside, and that is not repairable, I have the advantage of having a full Hydraulic test bench at work so I can run pressure checks on the block, the seals though are just bog standard poly O ring seals of various sizes, be careful though as it's all spring loaded and you don't want ANY dirt in there, and the reason Alfa just change the actuator is that it takes so long to rebuild one that the labour is more than the cost of a new one, so it's replaced and sent to Slovakia (cheap labour) for reconditioning.
