Re: relocating to the Gatwick area need the gt service.
Hello Alfaholic, (tried to send this to your PM box - but it is full)
I saw in one of your threads that you have the 156 race car, one of our 156's is about to become a track car and I was just wondering what was done with your race car with regards to the loom. Like the last track day 33 the 156 is going to be extensively lightened. Having seen a 156 loom is weigh probably 10 to 20kg. In the 33 I made up my own loom and just ran the wires I needed. I imagine that it is probably not that easy for the 156. Also the loom for EFI was completely separate for the 33 and I have no idea on what the arrangement is for the 156? This made it easier to change to a Omex / MBE mappable system in one quick go! Do you have any ideas or suggestions as to which way to progress.
We are due to move back to Horsham as soon as we can sell the house, and normally I would go and discuss things with Harry and Garry, but as the 156GTA project is getting going now I didn't want to wait say 6 months before making decent progress. so..... any ideas on reducing, stripping, replacing 156 looms would be a great help.
I am just going to have the basic minimum for the MOT, no heater, no window winders, no rear demist etc etc....
Any suggestions would be good.
