ARB Bushes ?

evening all

A couple of months ago I changed the upper and lower wishbones along with the drop links on my 156 to cure the usual 156 knocking sound this seem to have made a lot of difference but some knocking remained this has now got worse, i am asuming that it must be the ARB bushes that are to blame as the rest are new, dose anyone know how bad these are to change ive heard horror storys of 9hours and subfame out.

Regards Richard

Re: ARB Bushes ?

it so happens that i seel 'polyurethane' front ARB bushes.

see my signature for details

i also replace them for fellow Irish alfa owners, 3 to 4 hours work & yes its best to drop the subframe BUT it can be done leaving the subframe alone..... if you see the thread linked in my siggy in that thread is another link to 'how to repalce arb bushes without dropping subframe'

Let me know if you need 'poly' bushes &/or replacement collars, as the standard collars often crack allowing the arb to sway sideways which increase wear rate

Re: ARB Bushes ?

1:30 tops, without removing the subframe.
