Not Happy 156 juddering

Hi Guys, Im new to all this and the Alfa owners world, so Im not quite sure what to do.
I have just bought a 156 1.8 TS (1999 model V registration) its a great car but I encountered my 1st problem.
I have what appears to be a slight juddering/jerking when pulling off or accelerating away from been stationary, on the dash board the red spark plug light is on, Im not sure what I can do, do i need to tune it, change the plugs or change the leads to sort it out Id rather not take it to the dealers as they will charge just for looking at, i was hoping that you guys with all your vast amount of experiences that you may have come across this problem before and could suggest cheap alternative to resolve this.
