Here in Belgium there is a local oil manufacturer who produces oil who contains graphite. They claim that the graphite decreases friction inside the engine with the benefits off less engine wear, more power, less oil and fuel consumption and less engine noise. I don't know if they export and to which countries but take a peek on http://www.marly.com
if you don't know the Black Gold oil...
On my previous car I have experienced the serieus benefits this excellent oil can give!
They promise a power increase of 4% ... Believe it's really there! You can just instantly feel the restriction in internal engine friction providing an easier running an more quit running of the engine.
All the benefits they promise are really there except the fuel consumption I'm not sure. But it has to be less. Also I don't know what it does on the engine life because I only used it 10 months, but it can really be unbelievable?! On my astra thisBlack stuff made ahuge difference so I decide to give it a chance on my T-spark. I just filled the oil additive but with the Black Gold the result are even better.
And yes again it works great!!!!
So what seems strange to me that I'm the only person around that uses the stuff and that graphite isn't a over-spoken additve.
Should there be some serieus negative side-effects? Is there somebody here that knows more?
