the airbag is connected to the crash sensor (located on the transmission tunnel) , this sensor talks to the main
ECU. So what people call the airbag ECU is in fact a G force sensor and NOT the main ECU !!!!
This is what it looks like, but there are about 12 different types, it works with a lead ball in a tube held with a spring
if there is a sudden impact (G force positive or negative) greater than 4 G it will make contact and tells the main ECU
to deploy the airbags.
