156 Headlamp adjuster motor

Hi All,

I have recently purchased a 156 (2004 plate), love the car even though so far it has cost me over 500 to get sorted.

Last little bug bear for me is the driver side Headlamp adjuster motor, it seems to be broken when trying to adjust the beam it makes no alterations when screwing it manually. However when you adjust the height in the car the motor works fine.

Summary is my passanger side has a nice beam, drivers side just a sprayed pattern.

If anyone is breaking a 156 (04 onwards ) I'd like to purchase this part also could domeone tell me if the motors in the older versions are the same as the face lift model in case I go to a breakers yard?

Once this is done the car is in excellent condition and I can concentrate on enjoying the driving

Hello Fyrewhyp, Hello All,

Same questions as Fyrewhyp really...

Not quite the same problem though - the LH headlamp adjusting motor unit on my 2004 156 just buzzes all the time - the manual adjust works fine OK though.

Questions please:
Is the adjusting motor unit reparable (and how?)
Is it the same unit as on the pre-facelift models?
Can you buy just the headlamp adjusting motor unit (I can't see a part number for it on EPER)?
If so, what is the part number?

All and ANY answers or suggestions very welcome, please.
Many thanks

PS Fyrewhyp - how did you get on?
