147 Quick question!

Righty, looking to take out the starter motor of my 147 to give it a good clean and put it back in on thursday. Obviously this will need the battery removing!

Is it ok to disconnect the battery? Or will i lose ECU info when the power supply is gone?

Ps Also, any advice as to what to lube the inside of the starter motor with onces its cleaned out?

Re: 147 Quick question!

It's fine to disconnect your battery. The only loss will be any info on the trip computer - such as average mpg and the like. If I remember correctly doing so resets your ECU.
