156 Heating / Climate Control

I'm REALLY frustrated.

Two things.

1. Why does the heating on my 156 with climate control have a mind of it's own? Even when the 'auto' lights are out, it'll decide all by itself to change from heating the screen to heating the floor. Does anyone know how to properly use the system? Also, does anyone know how to prevent the aircon from coming on? Again, even when 'auto' lights are off, the aircon can sometimes come on. Standard position when the engine starts is 'on' - is there a way to turn this off - so that when I start the car, the heating is off until I switch it on? It's like trying to get a plane off the ground, having to turn the aircon off before moving.

2. It seems to take a long time for genuine HEAT to get going - is this normal?

Re: 156 Heating / Climate Control

As far as aircon is concerned about coming in operation every time the car starts,it's common to most of us.Propably if you switch off the a/c before engine shut down,it will not come up on its own when you start the car again.
