<strong>Noticed strange things starting to happen yesterday, first off my car seemed to struggle to turn over. Only had her 3 weeks, but till now she's always started the second I turn the key. But for last 24 hours she seems to be struggling.
I now turn the key, and have to hold it for a second or two. Can hear it turning over, dash lights flash, and then she kicks in. Just seems to stuggle a bit, tempting me to give it some revs, which I don't and never do, but not as confident about it starting as I was. This happens every time whether a cold start or from warm.
I also noticed that the mileometer had reset to zero. I thought I may have accidentally held the button in and reset it, but it's done it about 3 times now. I checked the obvious, like the button not stuck in, but seems ok, and operates normally to switch between mileometer and outside temp.
Not the most thorough test in the world, but it doesn't *always* reset, at least yesterday when I'd been out for and hour, left it for 30 mins, and got back in it stayed the same. But again this morning it's back to zero.
My, incredibly amateur, diagnostics suggest maybe a battery problem, but at the same time the radio hasn't reset, and the alarm / immobiliser plip is still functioning so not sure. Has anyone got any bright ideas, suggestions before I go out and get someone playing and testing the battery. Don't fancy it being locked away at the dealer and becoming one of the great untraceable faults ;-(
