Hi all, very nice site you all got here, so my first question goes like this: I just got my brand new 156 delivered, how can I see in what day or week it was manufactured? Greatfull for any input. Regards, Fredrik
Welcome! To answer your question, its difficult! My last Alfa had a date on the side of the brake fluid resevoir, which was the date the brake fluid was put in, therefore also the manufacturing date. My GTA doesnt seem to have this. However, since it is a GTA you've got I would assume its been built very recently, since most are built to order.
Thank´s for the answers.
I know the car was built this year. My car is a make-to-order (colour and trim). It was order during the first week of this year. It had expexted deliver in 6 months, but it got delivered in 3! one tank of gas/petrol has been lost to the atmosphare. Got the car april 1!
... forgot to say that I had a sticker with a possible manufacturing or assembly date glued to the bottom of the ...ermm don't know what it is... that detachable device in the boot, which contains the dog-net and the "horizontal curtain" with Sportwagon logo. (English people: laughing allowed )
Interior is all black, the options I did not order was Phone, Navigator, and CD-changer, I tought the prizes where horrible. Color code, don´t remember, it is metallic and a sort of grey/blue stuff, can not translate the swedish word for it. I will post that later.
It is snowing heavily in Stockholm right now, and that is no fun :-(
Take care and hopfully spring and sommer will arrive soon, //Fredrik
Pictures can either be posted in this lounge or in the Image Lounge. Actually that latter would be preferable since that way everybody will see them. Not everybody checks the model specific lounges.
Don't talk to me about snow, however. The guy who owns the barn where I store my Spider phoned and said that all the cars had to be out by the end of this weekend. Right now we're in the middle of a spring blizzard. Over the past twenty-four hours we've had as much freezing rain as we normally get in an entire season. Everything is covered with snow again. We're down to a skeleton road clearing staff because most of the people who do the work are independent contractors, and their contracts expired on March 31. Luckily, however, I arranged to get the Spider home before the rain/sleet/ice really started to come down hard and before they salted the roads.
Sorry for the rant. But it's to be expected from me. wink Again, welcome to the board. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures.
i THINK it should begin with ZAR9320000..... etc
you'll find it on the little plate in the bonnet and also stamped on the right side of the bonnet, where the suspension is mounted. at least thats how it is on the 147
At last I remembered to get the number of the car: ZAR932000¤0137465
I have looked for decals around my doors for tire pressure, the only thing I found was one for the airbags, which was carved out was marking for 2013/01 so maybe this means that the car was manufactured in jan 2003?
