Unfortunately, there would have been no way of telling the exact output of this car without first running it on a dyno. The previous keeper may well have been very happy with the car before they sold it to you, so you can't really blame them for that. How many non boy/man racer types have their cars dyno'd? Only a small fraction of Alfa owners will ever have their cars dyno'd on a RR!
Your problem will NOT be with the coil packs. Not unless you have a misfire. If this was the case then a fault code would log on your ECU.
Also, there are many posts/links on here that you can view which relate to your problem. You are not alone! 'Bit like the problematic diffs on the GTA's!!!!!
Did you pay over the odds for your 156 or was it a reasonable sum?
