Right guys, have just refurbished a damaged airbox by heating the seized fittings and pulling them out complete, cut some threaded bar to length and glued into place in airbox body
Now, i am going to replace my old one and was just looking for any hints/tips that might make the job easier/quicker. Planning to remove battery & tray for access and remove from the top if poss. Main thing i'm wondering is if i'm going to create any ECU or airbag warning light problems etc by having the battery removed and is there a way of preventing this
Remove the relays, battery & tray. The most inner bolt needs only to be loosened & the tray will slot up.... DO NOT FULLY remove this bolt.
removing the Resonator [ BIG BLACK BOX at the other side of the air box ] will be tricky & imho, i'd leave it disconnected & fit the GTA intake pipe instead..... a few days with restonator will do not harm.
