Beware! i dont know about Malta but in Greece there will be available a new (the cheapest) version with the name Impression and it will have some things removed: it will have 4 airbags, no head unit, no in-dash cupholder and the little drower next to it (did u say something about dash changes?), standard steel wheels (the Progression will have standard 15" alloy wheels and will be more expensive than now) and some other differences i cant remember.
imo its better to wait for a new car, because most brands (i hope AR too) solve some common problems and glitches. For example your new 147 might not have the annoying dash rattle the older have. Or the stupid false messages on the display. (or a cracked manifold like i have now ), or a hanging handbrake cable underneath, or no more ticking noises from the engine, variator that lasts longer, or many other things i cant remember right now and we all dream that one day AR will solve.
I took a showroom car and i regreted it, i should have waited two months more to get a new one. It would be 7 months newer construntion, wtf, some of my problems might not have appeared..
go for the new one.
