Re: Replacing rear hub bushes
It won't be me doing it, just if I ask my garage and wanted to check how easy the work was as I don't know if I trust them. Anyway it's not too much of a big job then.
The reason being is that I may have to get them replaced with original ones to get it through the due Swiss MOT (the mororfahrzeugkontrolle or MFK). The MFK is very tight and besides the fact that I have to have my engine and underside of the car washed before I take it to an official test centre, 3rd-party components on the car must be accompanied by a "Declaration of Suitability" certificate from the manufacturer stating that the components are good for the car.
I got the work done in the UK whilst I was there for Christmas (the weak pound and high Swiss labour charges makes it well worth while). However I later realised that I may have issues. I'm now trying to get a certificate from a Powerflex distributor here in Switzerland. However he can't guarantee that it will work, so want to know how much effort it is to replace them if it fails.
