156 doesnt start

Helllllllo.... Yesterday I was driving in the city so I decided to put the 'city' mode on. I pressed the button and the CITY showed on the counter, but then the car was hesitent to move from 1st to 2nd to 3rd so I parked on the side of the road. So i turned off the engine and tryed to start it back up (watch the video). But the car didnt start up.. so i called RACQ (road service). While my mate and I waited for the truck to come he got lunch and we got abused by every car on the road haha (one way street). When the truck came, the man put the key in and it just started up...

Today i tryed to start it up and the same thing happened. The top right symbol is red...

Any ideas?

Re: 156 doesnt start

the cars DTC sensor is 'heat-senstitive' & need replacing.

also know as rpm sensor or crank sensor.

approx £30 to buy

Re: 156 doesnt start

Could be the crank sensor as Pat says - classic symptom is car cutting out when hot, restarts when its cooled down....and it will light up the engine management light (normally). But originally it sounded as if it was a Selespeed issue......car won't try to start if its stuck in gear....and its not too clear from your post whether that was part of the problem....
