colling motor temaprature 1.9JTD

HY alfa owners

Since we have a little low temparature ( minus 5 and lower ) i noticed a problem with the temaparure of motor. When i am standing in place and my interior temparature is 22-24 , the motor temparature goes form 88 too almost 50 degrees.I ve changed the termostat, and everything is the same.

When i drive to the road i have the normal temparature between 75 and 88 degrees. Also i checked the temaparature and shows the same as meter on my board.

If you have solution for this problem please tell me.

Best regards , Robert

Re: colling motor temaprature 1.9JTD

Your normal temperture whilst driving should be dead on 90oC.

If it's -5oC it'll cetainly take quite a while to warm up.

And sat at idle, in -5oC with in the Climate Control on 24oC, yeah you'll suck all the heat out the water, Supprised it got right down to the lowest shown value, but it will certainly drop from 90 and continue downward, i would have thought it'll sit aroung 60oC will the interor temperature that high. Especially if you've the window open (to smoke for example)
