Strange noise when headlights are on??

I have had my 147 for over a year now and 'touch wood' it has been the most reliable car I have owned.

I have recently started having a weird noise, apparently coming from either the back of the dash or under the bonnet when the headlights are on. It's quite a loud sort of humming noise (and no it's not just the Selespeed pump noise) which is apparent the whole time the lights are on, driving or not. There is no noise with just the side lights on, just the headlights!

Does anyone have any ideas? I am taking it into my 'local' dealer (Priory in Godmanchester) next week and it would be good to know what to suggest as they took 3 attempts to fix the boot alarm thing which was well documented here!

Thanks for any help you can give

Do your height adjusters still work on the headlights??

Yeah, maybe they're stuck or something, and are functioning all the time. I find it almost impossible, but, it's an Alfa after all.

You should try that, really.

Headlighted cheese,
