Re: 156 on 56 Plate
The 2.5 V6 ceased production in mid-2003, whilst the facelift interior was introduced in mid-2002. So only the very last of the 2.5 V6s received the facelifted interior. However, since the facelifted exterior was not introduced until the last quarter of 2003, this explains why this car has the mildly-revised first series front. So if you assume it was manufactued in June 2003 (assuming the best, which is doubtful) and it wasn't registered for the first time until at least September 2006, then at the very least it's been sitting idle somewhere for over three years! This is not good for any car! And it is at least five and a half years old, so price it accordingly. This should include the vital cambelt/tensioner/idler change, since if it hasn't been done the running gear is now well due for replacement (based on time as well as mileage covered). It's certainly not worth the price they're asking for it, it isn't even a top spec Veloce 2 with leather. And, if you buy it, get the waterpump replaced at the same time, this will have the plastic impellers and melt with time, leading to overheating and head gasket failures, replace it with a metal 3.0 V6 one!
