On my 147 JTD with 17' Selespeed rims they put Bridgestone Potenza RE 040 . I only have a opinion after 850 km ( so maybe to soon because not wet weather yet and not running in extremes ) . Opinion so far , noise , well seems ok for me no problem . Grip , only dry like i said before , corners seem a bit too safe , i mean , they gently break out , i feel not until where i can go ( for the moment ) . Braking , no opinion yet . A couple of years before , When i had my Lancia Delta HF turbo , i needed to change tyres a lot of times ( every 20t km ) because always driving very fast . I can give you a opinion on that and which i found best than . I tried the standard tyre which was Pirelli P600 which was a great tyre , very bad in wet weather but nothing better in dry , fantastic roadhandling and perfect feeling when you were driving on the edge . Goodyear , i think it was a NCT number not sure ( 3 ??? ) , felt better in wet weather and just a tyre for not driving to fast . He had the progressive feeling of driving in corners , dry and wet , so no telling me if i was going on the edge or not . Another i tried was Vredestein Protrac . Very sensative for air pressure , a littlebit to hard ( 0.1 bar ) and the tyre was breaking out very fast . Otherwise , it felt better for me than the Goodyear , but worse than Pirelli . Pirelli , and than i changed no more , so next for me it will be a Pirelli . I hate progressive tyres , i need info about how i'm driving , i'll be carefull in wet , but dry i drive the car . When i drive it i want it to give me the info over driving in green zone , a small orange zone which you feel very good , and a red zone which is to much but is still controlable .
