Are you sure it's the GSD3's that are noisy as the Bridgestones I had on mine were as noisy as hell.
I now have F1 Asymmetrics, superb tyre but I don't expect them to last like a Michelin, but for me it was grip not mileage.
Hi Vindaloo, I am convinced it is the Eagle F1 GSD 3's as the noise has only been there since they were fitted.
Pirelli P Zero Nero are the factory fitted tyre.
However, I have heard many good reports on the vredestein ultrac sessanta, but haven't used them myself so have no personal experience of them.
I have been considering these and are at the top of my list currently for 215/45/17 size.
I think the Verdestiens are directional like the GSD 3's therefore likely to be more noisy, plus aren't they a high performance tyre, therefore unlikely to wear well?
Use 225/45R17 then, which is the 3.2V6 size.
They are a stronger tyre and often cost less than the 215/45R17 too.
Hi David, do these fit OK? I thought of this but was concerned about the tyre rubbing. Is this not true?
Michellin PP2 (pilot preceda 2)
really really good
Hi alphaTS56 I cannot find these here in the UK, but I would go back to Michelin Primacy's if I can use the a 225/45/17 size. They did everything required very well.
Thanks for everyone's help, any more info gratefully received and any experience with Dunlop, Bridgestone or others?
