Tracta Motors = €75+ per hour, always find they blanket replace everything if in doubt, so bills are always massive.
Who is Gerry Campbell as not familiar with him - Alfa Dealer or specialist? - based in Dublin? - reasonable rates?
So Dave McCann is the man just for tyres and associated alignment / tracking then yeah? Need some new tyres so may drop down and see what he has to offer.
Gerry also goes by Ti Autos and is based in Stoneybatter, so convenient enough. Opens at 8am (Mon-Fri) and is always in high demand. Alfa specialist (totally back street garage, but you do get an Alfa logo on your invoice!). Phone number is 01 838 6567.
Can't believe you are based in Dublin and haven't heard of him!
Re. rates, well, you get what you pay for I guess-he will be no more expensive than a franchise, but not 'cheap'.
Re. McCann tyres, while waiting to get my wheels aligned the last time I overheard some of the prices for tyres quoted and wasn't that impressed, but couldn't be sure on sizes etc. With EUR/GBP so much in our favour at the moment, there is probably great value to be had on Cheap Tyres Discount Tyres & Japanese Import Car Parts Spares Tuning Performance ::
for tyres. As far as I know, McCann's will fit tyres they don't sell, but haven't used them myself. I do know one place in maynooth and another in Naas that will fit your own tyres if you are interested. (interestingly that guy in Naas reckoned he could have supplied in fitted tyres for the wife's Rav4 for the same as we paid for buying on the web and fitting, but those were the days when EUR/GBP was around £0.72)
