Hi, I've just been looking into why I keep ending with with a flat battery after 2 days standing
Right here goes LOL
firstly I locked the car ( so the EMS would shut down fully) with the bonnet open and waited 15 mins for the management systems to settle and capacitors to dissipate. Then removed the negative lead from the battery and connected the meter between the neg. lead and the neg. battery post and got a reading of 0.5
thats a pretty hefty drain.
Disconnected the pos lead to the starter, still 0.5
disconnected the smaller pos lead, still 0.5
started removing the general protection fuses, got to the 70A one and it dropped to 0.25
took the 80A fuse out and it dropped to 0
I take it these GPF's are to protect the loom but what systems do they cover?
Oh yeah I have a regulator problem too on my £380 and only 3 month old alternator. As in the lights pulse
does anyone know if there is an online manual for the 156?
